• It’s his heritage – Dodd’s father, Thomas Dodd, was a two-term Senator from Connecticut. Senator Thomas Dodd was censured in 1967. While Senator Chris Dodd’s actions have brought him to the attention of the ethics committee he learned from his father and has avoided censure to this point in time.
• The Dodd Stimulus Plan brings money into Connecticut – Chris Dodd doesn’t need Connecticut residents to fund his campaign. Only five state residents contributed to his campaign. The rest came from outside the state and from organizations such as the payday loan industry. This allows Senator Dodd to bring money in to stimulate the Connecticut economy. Senator Dodd’s re-election campaign is the stimulus package for Connecticut.
