Chris Dodd has the potlitical experience needed to be a U.S. Senator. In his younger days he a Senator Kennedy would go out partying, often making the news. From one reported incident:

Senator Dodd was young then but he was able to seek out and befriend powerful Senators. Dodd was always able to identify where the power is and get close to it.
As for his voting record, Senator Dodd is a tried and true Democrat. Voting with the party over 97% of the time while missing only 1.5% of the votes in the current congress.
Don’t think just because Senator Dodd votes consistently along party lines that any Democrat would do the same. Dodd’s colleague, Senator Lieberman votes along party lines less than 90% of the time. We know what we get with Senator Dodd:

His total failure when running for the presidential nomination has taught Senator Dodd that he needs to get all he can from his Senate seat, there’s no higher office for him.
